The Gait Cycle

Breathing Mechanics

How we breathe has a huge impact on the way we move. When our breathing is impaired, so is our movement. 

You'll learn how pressure governs our movement, why we need to address breathing mechanics before anything else and practical ways of integrating breathing techniques into your training sessions.

MODULE 4

Functional Anatomy

Have you ever gone to learn anatomy but felt confused and overwhelmed? APX level 1 has removed this problem by coding muscles based on their location and function. 

This module focuses on 16 muscles and their relevance to the movement model. These are the most typical muscles that clients will struggle to feel during training.

MODULE 5

Programme Design

The programme design module breaks away from the traditional training model. Instead, there is a heavy focus on adaptations rather than numbers.

You'll learn what stimulus your client is over coming, not just counting reps and sets. This section also includes a movement and parameters        periodisation plan.

MODULE 6

Exercise Mechanics

To understand exercise, we need to understand both the internal and external mechanics. Without grasping the directions of forces acting on the body, there is no way of knowing fully what your client is adapting too. 

You'll learn why some muscles work more than others, when exercises can become unsafe and how to design the most efficient, effective movements, bespoke to your client.
